Abertoir: Bangor 2018

Our annual hook-up with the cinema at Pontio Arts Centre in Bangor has been dialled up to eleven for 2018 - Abertoir: Bangor gets EXTREME! Taking place on October 17th, we're presenting two heart-stopping cinematic assaults in one grisly evening, with The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and Climax set to leave nerves shaken and stomachs turned.

Take a look at the timetable below and head on over to Pontio's website to score tickets. Anyone attending the night and seeing both films will be entered into a prize draw to a win a festival pass to our main event in Aberystwyth in November...a grand prize indeed!

5:30pm The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (18)
8:15pm Climax (18)

Climax (18)

(Gaspar Noe, France 2018, 96 minutes)

Gaspar Noe’s latest Climax is a shattering cinema experience, a fast and noisy psychedelic nightmare that is not to be missed. Proving that he is still the most extreme film provocateur working today, this time Noe (Irreversible, Enter the Void) drugs the sangria of a group of dancers and takes us along on their very bad trip.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (18)

(Tobe Hooper, USA 1974, 84 mintes)

Tobe Hooper’s original horror classic The Texas Chain Saw Massacre has never been bettered. A group of friends travelling cross-country end up falling victim to a family of cannibalistic psychopaths.
