Please read the following information carefully.
When passes for Abertoir 2024 went on sale, our available capacity sold out in 10 minutes. In response to this unprecedented demand, we’ve been working to try to find a solution to accommodate as many of you as we can.
We’re pleased to say we have a solution and that additional festival passes will be on sale from 12pm, 2nd October. The Arts Centre box office has this evening contacted everyone on the waiting list by e-mail, so please be sure to check your inboxes for further details.
Abertoir 2024 will now primarily take place in the Aberystwyth Arts Centre’s theatre which has a cinema projector and a bigger screen than our usual cinema.
Fabio Frizzi and his band are spending all of Saturday in the theatre setting up for their big concert in the evening, and we’re thrilled to announce we’re taking over The Commodore Cinema in the centre of town, so that we can continue to enjoy our film line-up as planned on Saturday!
Big, big thanks to both the Arts Centre and the Commodore for ensuring none of you miss out.
We’ll miss our usual cinema of course, but both of these auditoria are significantly bigger, allowing us to free up 100+ more passes. The price is the same (£66 + £1.50 booking fee) and includes the concert.
Those of you who already have passes don’t have to do anything – your passes are still completely valid. And, if any of you have purchased a standalone Frizzi ticket while waiting for passes, contact the box office and they’ll refund you.
While things will become clearer when our full schedule is ready to share, in summary this year’s Abertoir will look like this:
Thursday 14 November (from around 5pm till late): Arts Centre theatre
Friday 15 November (daytime, evening and night): Arts Centre theatre
Saturday 16 November (daytime and early evening): Commodore Cinema
Saturday 16 November (evening till late): Arts Centre theatre
Sunday 17 November (daytime, evening and night): Arts Centre theatre
We will provide transport back to the Arts Centre from the Commodore on Saturday evening. We’ll provide plenty of info and directions about the second venue in due course.
We’ve tried to make this as clear as possible and to anticipate your questions, but the short version is simply: Yay! More passes available!
Information on how to buy passes can be found on our ticket page.
If you’re unsure of anything, please do ask for clarification. We do also still have our online Choice Cuts to come 23-24 November as well. Thanks for bearing with us and we can’t wait to see you all!
And yes…that is a tease of this year’s poster!
