Jane (Edwige Fenech) suffers terrible nightmares, stemming from a traumatic childhood experience. Her husband remains pretty useless, and when her upstairs neighbour suggests joining a satanic cult to help forget her pain, Jane enters a dangerous world that begins to threaten her grip on reality.
This is Sergio Martino’s third giallo film and it’s a delirious cocktail of ingredients: its blend of Satanism, hysteria, sex, pop culture, madness, mystery, psychedelia and murder make it a stand out entry not only in Martino’s career, but also in the giallo cycle itself. Its hallucinatory camerawork, coupled with a superbly hypnotic score by Bruno Nicolai, make this a great vehicle for stars Edwige Fenech and George Hilton, and a crazy, trippy big screen experience!
