In a small Canadian mining town, the Valentine’s Day Dance is revived, the town having long forgotten about the fatal tragedy and violent revenge that occurred years earlier as a result of the dance. Needless to say, reviving the tradition turns out to be a mistake, as keen young lovers are picked off one by one.
Canada’s slashers are some of the genre’s finest, and we’re thrilled to include two in our line-up. My Bloody Valentine was extensively cut and heavily criticised for its gory content, so we’re thrilled to be screening the film entirely uncut…so even if you’ve seen this classic before, you might not have seen it like this!
