Having survived a vigilante slaughter, four hard-luck strangers – gambler Stubby Preston (Fabio Testi), a pregnant prostitute (Lynne Frederick), the town drunk (Michael J. Pollard) and a madman who sees dead people (Harry Baird) – escape into the lawless frontier. But when they meet a sadistic bandit named Chaco (Tomas Milian), the four are plunged into a nightmare of torture, brutality and beyond. In a land that screams with the pain of the damned, can four lost souls find redemption and revenge?

Abertoir veterans will know how much we love the work of Lucio Fulci and we’re beyond excited to be screening one of his rarely seen classics. This was his first collaboraiton with cinematographer Sergio Salvati - they'd later go on to make Fulci's best known work together, including The Beyond and Zombie Flesh Eaters.  Fabio Frizzi also worked on the memorable score.  A spaghetti Western that takes its cues from the Italian gothic tradition, Four of the Apocalypse makes for grim yet essential viewing.
