After receiving a mysterious letter saying that her mother’s grave has been vandalised, a woman travels to a desolate island town to deal with it. With the tourist season finished, and only unfriendly locals left behind, she soon starts to suspect that something isn’t quite right about this close-knit community.
Offseason is a film that thrives on its impressive atmosphere, with the influence of Fulci, Carpenter and Lovecraft writ large in this stylish nightmare. Playing as a homage to the likes of City of the Living Dead and The Fog, yet with its own very distinct story, this is a short and sharp journey into personal terror that makes full advantage of the cinema experience to really pull you in.
